One Ordinary Family on an Extraordinary Adventure

One Year Traveling | Atticus’ Story | Learning Across America

This week, the family is taking over the Learning Across America blog. Each family member will be sharing their stories about our first year of full-time travel. Pull up a camp chair, and see what we’ve been up to.

One Year Traveling | Atticus’ Story

Atticus2Hi my name is Atticus, and I am 7 years old. My parents had a dream come true, traveling the USA. Really we haven’t crossed 50 states yet, but we’ve been to 21, and we’re getting there!

Traveling is an on going vacation. You could say traveling is like going around the world sort of. But you choose where to travel around which country and which city or town.

I love–and I mean love–to travel. I know you might think it’s weird, but I adopted a grandmother on the trip. Her name is Yuko.

My favorite state was Arizona because it had a lot of friends.

In North Carolina, we went to this concert, and Michael Tait was there, and he was doing this show there with the Newsboys. I got a picture with Michael Tait. He played some amazing songs, and it was an awesome concert.

This has been was the funniest and best trip ever!

Atticus! Thank you for taking the time away from your fun “vacation” to write for us. It was so good to hear how much fun you are having and I don’t think it is weird AT ALL that you adopted a grandma on the road. The more grandma’s – the better! Keep writing to us when you have time so we can see how you are!

Atticus, how exciting to meet your favorite singer! I think I might enjoy traveling almost as much as you do.
